The numbers are just incredible. The co-working revolution and the importance of community and human interaction (it’s just the way we’re wired as humans) is truly changing the worlds of entrepreneurs and small business owners.

We’re so honored to be a part of this movement and we believe in it so strongly it’s one of the reasons we give away free trial days, just so that others can see what they’ve been missing. I don’t know of anything else so easy and simply that an entrepreneur can do to make this much impact in their business.

I’ve had this thrown out at least a couple of times when showing folks around our space and as much as I’d like to sugar coat it, that thinking is just plain wrong. Working from home might work for a remote employee in a larger company, but for a small business, it’s MORE expensive and MORE harmful, and here’s why.

Believe it or not, you can learn a lot about self-belief in entrepreneurship from Vegas.

Early in my career when I was just getting started, people would occasionally ask how things were going and the answer was always the same; ‘I’m living the dream’. It was obvious to anyone looking that I wasn’t, and it was pure hyperbole for me to suggest otherwise.

However, for budding entrepreneurs and even seasoned business people, the challenge remains to find a way to live our dreams while somehow making them pay. The real winners don’t do it for the money. They do it because of the idea.

A Las Vegas showman has more to teach us about being entrepreneurs.

Continuing on from my last post, the Bros brothers enjoyed success for only a few years before it became apparent that one of the people they trusted most, was really the ‘Devil in Disguise’ to quote another famous Vegas superstar, Elvis Presley, himself.

When Dorothy landed in Oz, her only goal was to get back home. The yellow brick road as it turned out, was the road to getting there.

For Matt Goss and the Bros brothers (see parts 1 & 2), their yellow brick road wasn’t quite so clearly defined. But here we are almost 30 years later and now, Matt headlines a Las Vegas show at no less than Caesar’s Palace (and has been so successful over the past 5 years they just doubled the number of shows each week) and Luke is a successful Hollywood actor.

It all seems just so easy, except that it wasn’t. It never is.
